On behalf of Peggy and Myself, I am writing to you all to explain a very sad but also exciting change in our lives.
For just on 30 years, we have had the pleasure of growing a small courier/taxi truck run, travelling to Grenfell & Young daily, to a transport company covering most of NSW and interstate. We have grown from a 5 tonne Pantec truck to owning 9 prime movers, 10 trailers and a B-Double set, not forgetting the multiple rigids and small delivery vehicles and forklifts.
However, it is now time to hand the reigns over to a younger couple who are excited to have purchased an up and running business that has the potential to keep growing and servicing our wonderful clientele.
The new owners, Jake & Amelia Spicer, have been working with us over the past years as a sub-contractor and a Cummins mechanic. Their experience in the transport industry and business knowledge has impressed us over this time and therefore we are sure that they are the perfect couple to take over Cowra Freight and service our wonderful customers to the expectations they deserve.
Over the next 12 months, I will be working closely with Jake & Amelia to ensure that the business continues the same level of expectation that you are all used to and will continue to grow, offering an even more expanse of coverage in the future.
Shipping container sales and modifications will also remain a strong arm of Cowra Freight and also keep stock levels high.
Our admin staff, yard hands and truck drivers will be continuing their employment with Cowra Freight, helping to make the process as smooth as possible and assist in the changeover. They are all positive about the future and looking forward to working with Jake & Amelia.
Both Peggy and I would like to take this opportunity to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your loyalty in business and in many cases, some close relationships we have built over the years.
We have worked though many difficult times throughout the past with fire, floods, drought and will never forget the pandemic that we all had to work through. During these tough times we always did our best to transport everyone’s freight to their destinations.
It means so much to us that we have built something that has helped other people’s businesses along the way, and we are very confident that this will continue.
Jake & Amelia will take over on the 1st October and we are all happy to answer any questions that you may have regarding the transition.
Regards
Phil & Peggy Beer
